GO

Go (Japanese: 囲碁, igo) is a traditional strategy board game with a history spanning more than two thousand years. Despite its simple basic rules, it offers remarkable strategic depth: two players place black and white stones on the board, competing to control territory.

Go originated in China but became an important part of Japanese culture many centuries ago. Japan developed a strong tradition of both professional and amateur Go, and the game continues to enjoy an important place in Japanese culture today.

Go at the Czech-Japanese Association

Players from Go Club Můstek regularly meet at the Cultural and Information Centre of the Czech-Japanese Association in central Prague.

The meetings bring together experienced players as well as beginners. If you have never played Go before, this is an opportunity to learn the basic rules, play your first games and gradually discover the strategy behind this fascinating game.

Regular meetings: every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m.
Venue: Czech-Japanese Association, Na Můstku 8, Prague 1

Participation is free for members of the Czech-Japanese Association. The fee for other visitors is CZK 50 per meeting.
