Looking for books about Japan, Japanese language textbooks or resources for your studies and research?

The Czech-Japanese Association Library holds more than 3,200 publications, mainly in Japanese, Czech and English. The collection covers Japanese language, culture, history, arts and many other Japan-related topics.

Thanks to its specialised focus, the library also includes titles and resources that may be difficult to find elsewhere in the Czech Republic.

How to Borrow a Book

  1. Browse the online catalogue and choose the books you are interested in.
  2. Check whether they are currently available and note down the titles, ideally including their Call Number.
  3. You can contact us in advance and we will prepare the books for collection.
  4. Pick them up at the Czech-Japanese Association office, Na Můstku 8, Prague 1.

When you borrow a book for the first time, we will create a library account for you. You can then use it to keep track of your current loans and return dates.

Library Membership

CJA members can use the library free of charge as part of their membership. A library account is created automatically for members.

Not a CJA member? You can still use the library. Library-only registration is available for an annual fee of CZK 50.
