Cultural and Information Centre Team

The Cultural and Information Centre manages the day-to-day activities of the Czech-Japanese Association. Its team is responsible for communication with members and the public, organisation of courses and cultural events, membership administration, the website and social media, as well as other activities connected with the Association’s everyday operation.

Sabina LUKASOVA
Cultural and Information Centre Manager

While studying archaeology at Charles University, she also developed an interest in the Japanese language and culture. In 2014, she began attending Japanese language courses at the Czech-Japanese Association and joined the traditional Japanese drumming group Wadaiko yosa-yosa. She has been part of the Czech-Japanese Association team since 2018, when she became Manager of the Cultural and Information Centre. In her free time, she enjoys photography and coffee brewing.

Currently on maternity leave.

Hana HRACHOVINOVA
Cultural and Information Centre Assistant

Her interest in Japanese culture led her to study Japanese and later to spend time studying and working in Japan. After returning to the Czech Republic, she combined this experience with her work for the Czech-Japanese Association, individual language teaching and another of her great passions – playing the harp. At the Association, she focuses mainly on special requests, selected cultural projects and administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • individual and special requests
  • coordination of selected events, especially musical and non-commercial projects
  • administrative support, data processing and calculations
  • applications to the Harumi Fund
  • support with other activities according to the current needs of the Association

Katarina MLICHOVA
Cultural and Information Centre Assistant

Her interest in Japan began in childhood through caring for her father’s bonsai and gradually expanded to the Japanese language, traditional crafts and culture. She has visited Japan several times and completed two study stays in Akita and Tokyo. At the Czech-Japanese Association, she uses her experience in organising activities, communicating with the public and preparing creative workshops. In her free time, she is also interested in kimono and plays the koto.

Mariana STEHLIKOVA
Administrative Support – Cultural and Information Centre

She became interested in Japan at an early age, and her interest gradually grew through judo, Japanese dance and language studies. While still at secondary school, she spent a year as an exchange student in Mie Prefecture, which further deepened her connection with Japan. She is currently studying Japanese Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and continues to explore Japanese culture through yosakoi and the activities of the Czech-Japanese Association.
